e-Data Collect is built on the standards of J2EE (Java 2 Enterprise Edition), J2ME (Java 2 Micro Edition) and XML technology to provide the reliable path to wireless technology. The e-Data Collect architecture enables easy integration with any ERP or legacy system. It can work seamlessly with any industry standard RF device without the need for additional client side programming.

Label Designing and Printing
 
e-Data Collect come built-in with a comprehensive solution that includes Label designer and printing service. This solution can be used to print labels as and when required. The label designing can be done at setup time and can be changed whenever needed. Multiple labels can be designed for printing purposes. Using this Multi-byte compatible solution both one dimension and 2 dimensional barcodes can be designed and printed.

The labels can be printed in real time by fetching data from a backend application server. The Backend Manager is used for this purpose to pull data from an application server e.g. BaanERP.
